Welcome from The Foundation’s Board of Directors! We’re pleased to introduce you to the Canton Education Foundation. We are a new nonprofit in town seeking community-wide commitment to enlivening the public education experience for Canton children and residents. WE IMAGINE... We imagine a community where money doesn’t constrain our teachers and administrators. We imagine a community where new ideas are routinely introduced in the classroom. WE BELIEVE… Educators have the ideas. There are far more ideas and potential innovations than those that are funded in the budgets of our local learning institutions. There are so many possibilities not yet addressed. In every field of study—from algebra to zoology—there are teachers with great ideas about how to grow the educational experience. Our kids need these ideas. WE WANT YOU TO KNOW... Education Foundations are everywhere. Over three thousand communities have established education foundations. Foundations fund programs that add new possibilities. They do not replace items considered to be a normal part of the annual school budget. CEF intends to fund new conversations in the classroom, new techniques in teaching, and strengthen what is already working well with extra resources. CEF will nurture good ideas that are not now in budget plans and may not see the light of day without outside help. WE NEED YOUR INVOLVEMENT ! ! !
